Mobile Torch- Free Flashlight 1.0

As far as flashlight apps go, the brightest one you can find on the Android App Market is the Mobile Torch – Flashlight. However, I don't see the need of this app requiring so much private information from the users upon installation. It is quite frustrating to have this app needing access to the user's contacts and messages. I mean what does a flashlight app would have to do with them. It only requires access to the camera of the Smartphone to complete its function. Why would it then need access to the contacts and messages? It is one of the off-putting things for me about this app.

Apart from this, this flashlight app works fine. In fact, it is quite brilliant (pun intended). The design and layout of the app is very intuitive and looks very appealing. The bulb that is used as a means to indicate the flashlight is a nice touch. It adds a touch of class to your smartphone and gives you something new to work with.

Moreover, it is incredibly simple to use. You don't have to do anything, really. Just touch the bulb that is present in the middle of the app when it is launched. It is going to activate the LED/Flash that is a part of your camera app. Now, as long as the app remains open, the flashlight will continue to keep the LED or Flash open. You will thus receive ample light to see in the dark. Make sure you keep the app open though or the LED/Flash will turn off and you will lose the light. So, you can't use any other app when you are using the Mobile Torch – Flashlight.

The feature that separates the Mobile Torch – Flashlight from other flashlight apps is the simplicity of its use. A single click is all it needs to get the Flash/LED of your Smartphone working. Other apps are not that quick and require several steps to get the Flash/LED of the camera activated. Moreover, the impressive thing about this flashlight app is that it offers the brightest light. This app optimizes the flash of the camera in such a manner that it offers its brightest and most intense light.

Mobile Torch – Flashlight is the best one available on the Android App Market also because it offers support for a large number of Smartphones. It does not matter which Android device you are using, if it has a camera and an LED flash then you can rest assured that this flashlight app will be able to activate it.

Conclusion:

Mobile Touch – Flashlight is a great flashlight app from a functional and appearance standpoint but its demand to access contacts and messages makes it a less than convincing app for me.
